Although the rural desert is the scorpion's natural habitat, they do not stay contained to the desert. Scorpions tend to find their way into residential areas all throughout southern Nevada, with the Las Vegas being the hot zone, making scorpions one of the most common pests in the valley. Hence, why Allied specializes in scorpion extermination.
What do scorpions look like?
Most people identify scorpions by their tail that curves up over their back with a stinger at the end used for paralyzing pray, with large front claws used to capture pray. Scorpions are predators and a type of arachnid, which means they are related to spiders, mites, and ticks. Scorpions are known for having poor vision but are exceptional hunters. When hunting, they rely on touch and vibrations to locate prey. They come in a wide range of colors, including yellow, brown, reddish-brown, and black.

Scorpions will not chase you down and sting you. Leave the scorpion alone, if possible. If you find a scorpion in your home, do not touch it. Use a container to trap and discard it. Remember that a scorpion will survive in water. If you encounter a scorpion in a pool or spa, do not assume it is dead and cannot sting.
Yes. You can certainly try DIY methods, including purchasing pre-mixed chemicals from
big box stores or even concentrated chemicals online. However, it’s important to
remember that scorpions very rarely live alone. Although scorpions will not attack
humans without threat, if accidentally stepped on, scorpions will defend themselves by
stinging you. You may regret trying to tackle your scorpion problem on your own,
putting your family and pets at risk. Keep those who matter most safe with the help of
an experienced pest control company with the skills necessary to handle an infestation
and prevent further scorpion sightings.

environmentally safe sealant materials when we find holes, gaps, or cracks that could
be exploited as a scorpion entry point. We also use procedures similar to

the parts of your garage that are susceptible to invasion by scorpions. We thoroughly
educate our customers in prevention techniques to protect you and your family. Here
are a few tips:
