TREATMENT FOR BED BUGS

Bed bugs have become a prevalent issue in households throughout the Las Vegas valley. These pests can infest any type of living space, such as homes, apartments, and dorm rooms. They are known to spread quickly and can easily hide in furniture, boxes, or piles of clothing.

It is important to note that bed bugs can be found in more than just beds. They can also be found in baseboards, picture frames, behind electrical outlets, and throughout your entire home. At-home treatments may become less effective over time, as bed bugs continue to breed and spread. If you notice any signs of bed bugs, it is recommended to contact the professional bed bug experts at Allied Pest Management. We provide comprehensive and efficient bed bug treatments that are guaranteed to work in Las Vegas and the surrounding areas.

With Allied Pest Management, we prioritize the well-being of our customers and the environment. Our bed bug control treatments are environmentally friendly, ensuring minimal impact on the planet, your family, and your pets. We offer three types of bed bug treatments: traditional liquid treatments, heat treatments, and preventative treatments.

Our Bed Bug Control Services

Our traditional liquid treatments involve the use of effective products to treat your furniture and entire home. These products are formulated to have minimal impact on your home, pets, and family. We focus on treating cracks and crevices, including mattress seams, box springs, baseboards, and inside furniture like dressers. Additionally, we use a dust treatment for electrical outlets and in wall voids.

For those seeking a more intensive approach, we offer heat treatments. This method involves raising the temperature of your entire room above 90 degrees for a minimum of 90 minutes. The high temperature is lethal to most bed bugs, eliminating the entire population in your home, including eggs and adults.

In addition to our bed bug control treatment options, we also provide preventative treatments. These treatments are designed to proactively protect your home from future bed bug infestations. By taking preventive measures, you can minimize the risk of bed bugs entering your living space.

Choose Allied Pest Management for effective and environmentally friendly bed bug treatments in Las Vegas and the surrounding areas.

Bed bugs are known to thrive in temperatures ranging from 65° to 85° degrees, making your home an ideal environment for them. While many people are aware of the need to check the bed area for bed bugs, such as in the blankets, sheets, and mattress, it's important to note that bed bugs can also hide in less obvious places.

These hidden areas include:

  1. Stuffed animals
  2. Inside light bulbs
  3. School buses, airplanes
  4. Inside furniture seams and cushions.
  5. Underneath carpets and rugs.
  6. In the folds of curtains and drapes.
  7. Within the folds of clothing and stored fabrics.
  8. Cracks and crevices in walls and furniture.
  9. Electrical outlets and switches.
  10. Behind picture frames and wall hangings.

It is crucial to thoroughly inspect these areas when dealing with a bed bug infestation. If you suspect or confirm the presence of bed bugs, it is recommended to seek professional assistance for effective removal and treatment.

Bed bugs have a knack for hitchhiking and can easily make their way into impeccably maintained homes and pristine buildings. They often hitch a ride on items we carry, like purses, backpacks, or luggage, as well as on items we bring into our living spaces, such as secondhand furniture, clothing, or other textiles. Bed bugs don't simply appear out of nowhere; they typically enter our living spaces by hitching a ride on items we introduce.

Vigilance is the key to staying free of these biting pests, and the key is to pay closer attention to what you carry into your house:

  • Take the time to do a thorough inspection of any used items made of or containing fabric, including second-hand furniture (especially mattresses), pet bedding, pillows, rugs, linens, and apparel.
  • Inspect suitcases before bringing them inside.
  • Prior to storing luggage, give it a thorough going-over with a vacuum.

If traveling, listed below are extra steps to take during and after your trip, including:

  • Closely inspect your hotel room’s mattress and box springs for spots that look like bits of pepper.
  • Inspect any upholstered chairs and sofas, and check the inside drawers.
  • Store your luggage in plastic garbage bags while it’s in the hotel.
  • Keep luggage off of upholstered surfaces. It’s better to keep it on a tile floor or even in the shower.
  • Notify management if you see signs of bed bugs and ask for a different room.
It’s important to remember that it is possible to get bed bugs even if you haven’t recently traveled, so vigilance and thorough inspections are essential to prevent an infestation.

Determining whether or not you have bed bugs can be a challenging task. While red, itchy bites can be a clue, it's important to note that other pests can also cause similar symptoms. However, there are more reliable indicators to look out for. One of the most definitive signs of a bed bug infestation is actually seeing the bugs themselves. Adult bed bugs are reddish-brown in color, wingless, and about the size of an apple seed. You may also be able to spot immature bed bugs, which resemble the adults but are smaller and have a whitish-yellow color. However, it's unlikely that you'll be able to see newly hatched nymphs or eggs without the help of a magnifying glass.

In addition to the bugs themselves, another sign of a bed bug problem is finding their molted skins. These skins will look similar to the bugs but will be empty. If you come across a significant pile of these skins, it's a strong indication of a large infestation. Lastly, like most pests, bed bugs leave behind fecal matter. You're most likely to find this along mattress seams, the top of baseboards, electrical outlets, curtain seams, and other narrow hiding places.

It's important to note that due to the various life stages of bed bugs, it can be challenging to completely eradicate them using DIY methods alone. This is why it's highly recommended to seek the assistance of professional pest control providers. They can conduct a thorough inspection and develop a customized plan to address your specific needs.

We offer various bed bug treatment options to assist you in eliminating these pests. Our treatments include both traditional methods using specialized products and heat treatments. The heat treatment option is particularly effective as it eradicates adult and immature bed bugs, as well as their eggs. None of these pests can withstand high temperatures for a prolonged duration.

We guarantee our bed bug services will eradicate your infestation. Our comprehensive bed bug treatment includes regular follow-up visits to ensure complete eradication of the problem. In case necessary, we are more than willing to provide additional bed bug treatments without any extra charges, ensuring a permanent solution to these pests. Whether you reside in Summerlin, Henderson, Mountain's Edge, Boulder City, or any other location within the Las Vegas valley, we are fully equipped to handle your bed bug issue.
